This review article examines how children are affected in mass casualty incidents (MCIs) and highlights the need for special care due to their unique needs. It describes the important role of pediatric anesthesiologists in MCIs, including preparation and emergency care. The review compares MCI responses in Australia, the UK, and the USA. It suggests ways anesthesiologists can improve their skills through education and training to better help children during disasters.
