This study tested short, task-specific drills called "disaster huddles" in a pediatric emergency department (PED) as a quicker, easier training method in preparation for mass casualty incidents (MCIs). Results showed improved administrative disaster preparedness. Disaster huddles could be a practical way to enhance readiness with minimal time and effort. More research is needed to assess long-term effects on behavior and patient outcomes.
