About

This study investigated the practice of pediatric physician offices in relation to disaster preparedness and response efforts, based on a survey of American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) members. It reveals that 74% have some level of disaster preparedness, with 54% having previous response experience. Factors such as written plans and volunteering correlate with higher preparedness. These findings aim to improve the involvement of pediatricians in community disaster response.
