About

This study employed a survey to assess disaster management plans in child care programs in Michigan. Surveys were sent to directors of registered child care centers. Most programs had plans, but lacked accommodations for special needs children, family/child identification, and evacuation routes. Few collaborated with local organizations. Recommendations include more partnerships and training on disaster preparedness.
