This review article looks at the JumpSTART Triage Protocol used for children in disaster situations. It describes how JumpSTART is a tool to quickly decide which injured children need urgent care. The review compares JumpSTART with other triage methods and finds that while it is fast, it may not always be the most accurate. Out of five studies, only one showed JumpSTART as the best option. The conclusion highlights a lack of strong evidence supporting any single triage method and calls for developing a more reliable system for helping kids in emergencies.
