This study assessed the level of neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) disaster preparedness among pediatric residents in a children's hospital. Based on survey feedback from residents, conclusions reveal a lack of knowledge of NICU disaster response, but a willingness to respond to disasters. The study suggests that training should include simulations and clear role definitions to improve preparedness. Residents also want more frequent disaster training during their NICU rotations. Overall, it highlights a need for better education and planning to ensure safety in emergency situations at the hospital.
