    About

    This module will begin with an overview of current epidemiology of headaches in children and current challenges faced in this area. Red flag symptoms and signs are discussed to differentiate primary from secondary causes. An evidenced based strategy for head imaging is reviewed. Acute treatment of migraine in children will be reviewed including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain management strategies. Upon completion of this module, learners will: * Recognize key elements of the history and physical examination associated with headaches of various etiologies. * List the indications for neuroimaging in the evaluation of headache in children. * Describe the appropriate management of migraine headaches in children.
