This Planning Guide is designed as an All-Hazards Guide to provide emergency planning steps and a list of resources for child care centers. It should be used to develop the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) before an emergency and annually updated and practiced. The two goals of the Planning Guide are to reduce the risks of emergencies and to help child care centers respond to emergencies. Each section of the Guide includes checklists and worksheets to guide child care centers through the planning process.
