This course offers training on pediatric disaster response and emergency preparedness. It describes how to plan for and respond to disasters involving children, focusing on issues like mass sheltering, triage, reunification, and decontamination. There are no prerequisites but familiarity with National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) is recommended. Participants must attend at least 80% of the class. The course targets emergency managers, EMS personnel, hospital staff, public safety workers, school administrators, law enforcement officers, and more.
