National Pediatric Readiness Project Toolkit

  • 2020

  • About

The National Pediatric Readiness Project (NPRP) Toolkit content is organized by the seven domains of pediatric readiness in the emergency department (ED): Administration and Coordination; Healthcare Provider Competencies; Quality and Process Improvement; Policies, Procedures, and Protocols; Support Services; Guidelines for Improving Pediatric Safety; and Equipment, Supplies, and Medications. The tools and resources available in the NPRP Toolkit align with the joint policy statement “Pediatric Readiness in the Emergency Department” and assist pediatric emergency care providers in better understanding and achieving pediatric readiness in their ED. The NPRP Toolkit also provides support and recommendations for other stakeholders involved in pediatric emergency care such as hospital administration and quality improvement leaders as well as families, caregivers, and patients.
